Cristian Romero Joins Atletico Madrid
Atletico Madrid has reached an agreement with the club for the transfer of Cristian Romero, a key player for the team in the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League and captain for the 2025/26 season.
Cristian Romero, known as 'Cuti', joined Atalanta in 2021. During his time with the team, he was a fundamental player in the UEFA Europa League victory and became the second player from Tottenham to win the FIFA World Cup in 2022, when Argentina beat France in the final. Romero also won the Copa América in 2024 and participated in the World Cup final this summer.

Born in Córdoba, Cristian began his career at Belgrano and had stints at Genoa and Juventus before joining Atalanta.
