Real Madrid is preparing for the match against Real Sociedad, scheduled for Wednesday 26 August at 21:00 in the Santiago Bernabéu. The training session took place amid the background noise of the F3 test that inaugurated the Madring circuit, which will host the Spanish Grand Prix in September.
The session, led by Xabi Alonso, was held at the new Ciudad Real Madrid complex, right next to the Madring circuit. The sound of F3 engines became the unusual backdrop of the practice, creating an atmosphere of focus and adrenaline.
The team’s starters, who will play at RCDE Stadium, trained without the ball, focusing on movement and positioning. The rest of the squad performed demanding drills of driving, possession and pressure, finishing in goalposts to sharpen attack and defense. To finish the session, the team played a series of reduced matches that allowed players to apply the planned tactics.
Bellingham, who had a shin splint after the match with Espanyol, trained without issues and showed good fitness. Meanwhile, injured players Endrick, Militão, Mendy, Thiago, Rodrygo and Asencio worked individually, following specific recovery plans.
Coach Alonso highlighted the importance of the session in such an unusual environment and stressed that the team is fine-tuning tactical cohesion before the game. “The sound of the engines reminds us that we’re in a high-pressure moment, but it also helps keep us focused,” he said.
With the match on the horizon, Real Madrid aims to consolidate its league position and prove it can compete with the region’s best teams. The combination of intense training and the presence of F3 adds an element of spectacle to the club’s preparation.
On Wednesday, Bernabéu fans will see whether the white team can overcome Real Sociedad in a match that promises to be intense and exciting.
