Marc Cucurella was presented as a new Real Madrid player on Monday, after signing a contract until 2032. The club paid €55 million fixed, which could rise to €60 million.
Official Presentation
The left-back was received by Florentino Pérez in the Valdebebas boardroom, where a hug was exchanged and the contract was signed, binding him to the club until 30 June 2032. After signing, Cucurella received a stadium replica, a watch and a shirt with his name and number 17. José Martínez Pirri, the club’s honorary president, also attended.
Haircut
For the ceremony, Cucurella underwent a new haircut. His barber, Darío Roberts, posted on Instagram: "Cut for Marc Cucurella…We did a layered cut on curly hair, back trim, color to unify the tone and a hydration treatment to achieve a more defined and shiny curl." Roberts has already treated footballers such as Marcos Llorente, Simeone, Isco and Deulofeu, and now Cucurella joins that list of clients.
Debut vs Espanyol
The fullback made his Real Madrid debut in the match last Saturday against Espanyol in Barcelona. Cucurella entered in the final minutes of the game, which finished 1-0 in favour of the white club, with a goal from Espí in the 90th minute.
Transfer Summary
Cucurella’s signing represents the second-largest investment by Real Madrid this summer, after Diomande’s acquisition. The €55 million fixed fee may rise to €60 million with performance clauses.
